Hot

It's so strange this country. Hot, I think I'm starting to understand Meursault in a way. Somehow, I always understood him and in the same time I felt so far from him. This stupid MPD sometimes gets me.

Sometimes I stare in dark places and imagine strange worlds in which abnormal things happen, without feeling my gaze.

It's so hot... at least the sea is here. I wonder how would Lynch see the world in this heat. Probably he would picture some strange red corner where deep and ancestral unconscious phobias and desires flow. Or he would throw Lacan's mirror and a million people would become aware of their childhood rupture.

I wonder, is anyone staring at us ?

I'm least bothered of this whole "I shoot film = I'm a photographer" bulls**t

but I can't help highlight the bohemian shit you just posted - awkward world? Try googling Jessica Cox, or Nick Vujicic.

Thank you for your kind comment and time spent on my blog.

A couple of remarks i would have: I don't consider myself better because I shoot film, it is a personal choice and I don't think there is any reference to the fact I'm shooting film in this post. The pictures could be done on digital as well. I love photography unconditionally.

I've goggled them, thank you, they are remarkable people, but you probably misunderstood my pictures/text if you made this association.

Also, for non "bohemian shit" you can always search on google "Bravo magazine" or "FHM".

For more "bohemian shit" you can google "David Lynch", "Joanna Kane" or "Jan Saudek".

Indeed. Your work is exactly the same as Lunch, Kane or Saudek.

Said it yourself - that it's just a personal choice of shooting film, which makes it bohemian coolish. Any of your pictures could have been done just as well with a phone camera.

i like Henry Murger.
antonimous looked in the mirror ! the bohemian one :)

of course. I look in the mirror daily, so I'm aware of myself, and not end-up in foolish beliefs that my shitty snapshots are actually art, because they're resembling some of Lynch, Kane or Saudek.

that's the bohemian film-shooter - one that shoots film because it's cooler and can relate that he's an artist like the aforementioned ones. Sadly, that's just a sign that he doesn't understand even 1% of their work, since he believes his waste of 35mm film is worth any comparing with Lynch's photography.

I never said they are art or compared my work to Lynch. I see you make assumptions based on nothing.

The bohemian film-shooter might also be someone who wants to improve his knowledge and learn more. Aristotle is outdated in some aspects, but some still read him and refer to his works. Probably to be cool and bohemian.

I will not write here the reasons (objective ones, not based on childish assumptions) why would someone shoot film. If you don’t know at least one, Google is your friend.

I see you know many things about the way I think and act, you mighty anonymous antonimous psychologist playing with mirrors. If you don't get an irony addressed to you, at least you could keep quiet and look smart. On the other hand, Iulia's irony might be overkill. Like 99% of Lynch's work for the ones like me.

I consider discussion closed and I would kindly ask you to comment elsewhere and leave my “shitty snapshots” alone. FHM as I told initially would probably be more on your taste.

Also note this is my private blog, not a public forum or website and can be considered in a way my home. I’m not posting here to receive critique.

"I’m not posting here to receive critique." poser! So you just post so that your friends can find philosophical meanings to your snapshots. Is that it? Magna cum laudae for ignorance and self sufficiency.

Just like every little one in the big herd - first you point to a big photographer to motivate your meaning-lacking snapshots, and then you play hurt.

Discussion indeed closed. I'm off to finding people that start with the meaning and look for ways to take a picture of it, rather than with pushing the button and the finding ways to give pictures meaning, by calling on society's flaws.

In fine, intotdeauna cineva trebuie sa sape si santurile.
